The Scoop on Summer Fun
Splash Into Fun
by Betty Casey

If you want something cool and fun to do with the kids this month, check out Tulsa Transit’s Passport to Fun. On Saturday, July 19, Big Splash and Radio Disney are planning a hot time for the whole family at Big Splash water park, located at 21st and Yale Ave.
And, you can leave the driving to Tulsa Transit. While you relax and ride, not only will you save gas money, but kids who have a Passport to Fun will get into Big Splash free with a paying adult (one free per paying adult).
To make the day really special, plan to be at Big Splash at 10 a.m. when the Radio Disney party gets underway. Kids won’t want to miss a minute of their favorite songs, games, prizes and Disney fun in the sun.
Don’t know which bus to take? It’s easy. Catch Route 221 on 21st Street, or downtown at Denver Ave. Station, Bay 6 (3rd & Denver), or Memorial Midtown Station, Bay 5 (33rd, just west of Memorial). You can also go to the Tulsa Transit Web site at www.tulsatransit.org for a schedule or call 582-2100. The first 100 kids boarding the bus on special Passport to Fun days will get a free Travel Fun Pack full of family-friendly coupons and other great stuff.
Adults can get an EZ Rider Day Pass when they board the bus for just $3 and ride all day. Just ask the bus driver. Kids 12 and under get a free EZ Rider Day Pass and their Passport when they ride with a paying adult.
And, better yet, Big Splash will take $5 off admission to anyone with an EZ Rider fare card all summer long! So, what are you waiting for? Slather on the sunscreen, grab your sunglasses and towels and hop on a Tulsa Transit bus for a cool time in the hot sun at Big Splash.

Note: Our next special Passport to Fun in August will be to the RiverWalk and the Oklahoma Aquaruim on Aug. 16.
